The O2 Arena is an indoor arena located on the Greenwich Peninsula, amongst a big entertainment complex known as “The O2”. Its capacity can reach up to 20,000 and it is one of the largest arenas in Europe, as well as being considered one of the busiest music arenas in the world.
During the 2012 Olympics, the Arena was known as the North Greenwich Arena and hosted the artist gymnastic events as well as the medal basketball rounds. The arena is located within the Millennium Dome and the ground surface can be transformed into an ice rink, a basketball court, an exhibition space, a conference venue, a private hire venue and a concert venue.
The venue has won multiple awards including London’s Live Music Venue of the Year in 2010. It has also hosted hundreds of concerts by superstars from around the world, a variety of sport events, stand up shows and film premieres.
